Back.
Our 1st camping trip with Big Boy was a family get together up at Sunset Bay Beach just south of Coos Bay, Oregon.

We’ve determined that I’m better at following Steve’s directions when manoeuvring Big Boy into tight spots than the other way around so I did the honors... the campground was all a buzz about the woman backing Big Boy into place but with Steve’s good instructions he backed in perfectly.

Our campsite was right across from campground hosts from Canada and Clear Lake, CA, both highly recommend the Oregon State Parks system for work camping.

There was no internet or cell phone reception in the camp ground so we ended up headed to town in Chuck & Loretta’s Buick on Saturday so we could “connect up” and make our NASCAR fantasy picks.

The beach was beautiful, Sunset Bay is more sheltered than most Oregon Coast beaches; therefore the wind was minimal, not enough to get our kites up in the air.

We tested out Big Boy’s furnace for the 1st time at Sunset Bay Beach, it worked great.  Since we had full hookups I tested out the capacity of our hot water tank by taking real vs. Navy showers, never ran out so I guess a 10 gallon hot water heater is sufficient.

Sunday we regretfully packed up and headed for the old stick & brick home, can’t wait til Big Boy is our full time home no matter where we are!
