We took Hwy 99 down to Fontana, reasoning.that there were more truck & rest stops along the way compared to I-5. That much was true, but the roads are much rougher and OH the cow poo smell between Fresno & Bakersfield where we stopped for the night!!
Arrived at Auto Club Speedway and easily found the RV.Com parking lot. Steve would have preferred being infield... Someday. Fortunately we were one of the 1st to arrive so positioning within our small 20 x 40 spot wasn’t a problem.
Kyle, Crystal & Kallen arrived Saturday. Kyle & Steve ended Saturday playing cornhole with the neighbors.... Kyle was great, Steve needs a bit more practice.
Sunday was perfect for the race & Kallen was a doll throughout the day. We drove home via I-5 Monday... Much smoother and wider than 99. I slept on the couch most of the way home while Steve drove ... Very comfy.
